    8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday (½ hr for lunch)

  • Holidays

    Our office is closed the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. The following are deferred holidays: MLK Day, President's Day, Juneteenth Day, Native American Day which means you can take the actual holiday or a different day. 

  • Sick Leave

    Employees accrue 1 day a month of sick leave to a maximum of 80 days.  Also, vacation accrues at the rate of 1 day per month with accrual rates increasing with additional years of service to a maximum of 21 days of vacation per year after 15 years of service.

  • Clothing Allowance

    Field Staff - $200 per year
    Office Staff - $125 per year

  • Screening Tests

    You will be required to pass an initial pre-employment drug screening test. We will pay all the costs for the test and can typically be done in Brookings or some other location we determine acceptable.

    • Single – monthly premium ranges from $500 to $800
    • EE/Spouse – monthly premium ranges from $1000 - $2000
    • Family – monthly premium ranges from $1600 to $2700

  • Eligibility date: first of the month following date of employment
  • Employee Monthly Cost is 10% of monthly premium
  • Your cost: $11.76 family, $5.80 EE/Spouse, $8.22 EE/Child(ren) or $2.90 single
  • SDARWS Long Term Disability Plan
  • Eligibility date: 1st of the month following 30 continuous days of employment

  • Principal Life Insurance Co.
  • Eligibility date:  first of the month following date of employment
  • Employee Monthly Cost – none - $25,000 of coverage
  • Employee can purchase Voluntary Life coverage at their own expense
