In response to continued growth throughout our system, we are beginning plans for our next system-wide expansion project.
If you are interested in obtaining rural residential, farm, or pasture tap water service within Kingbrook’s service area, please complete the application and return it with a $100 non-refundable good intention fee by February 28, 2027. The fee is refundable if service is determined to be not feasible.
Prospective large-volume users should contact our office prior to submitting an application, as additional system requirements and fees may apply based on the requested usage.
An additional hook-up fee of $3,900.00 will be required at a later date to cover construction and development of the service, up to and including the meter pit. This fee will be payable in two installments: one half when the project is finalized and the remaining half after a construction contract is awarded. Exact due dates are not currently known.
Applicants are responsible for hiring and paying a contractor for any construction after the meter pit and will be required to pay for water service for a minimum of three (3) years, regardless of usage.
Meter pits for pasture taps will be installed no more than 100 feet inside the fence line at the desired location of the service.
Please include a copy of the most recent deed for the property where service is requested to ensure accurate legal descriptions. Deeds may be obtained by contacting the Register of Deeds in the county where the property is located.
Please return the completed application, deed, and $100 good intention fee to Kingbrook Rural Water System, Inc., PO Box 299, Arlington, SD 57212. Applications must be received by February 28, 2027.
